Program Description:

ACI is building the global inclusion movement through investing in artists who are changing the world.

In the one-year residency artists address cultural and social inclusion through his/her medium in an international environment of his/her choosing. ACI thinks of the residency as an “experimentation period” designed to open an international lab- one that is conducive for the study and investigation of cultural and social inclusion by emerging artist leaders.

The program will educate, inform, and grow the artistic and personal skills of participating artists while stimulating and enhancing the arts communities in which they work and live, ultimately supporting the artists in becoming sustainable change agents. ACI’s Artist Leader Framework covers six core skill areas: leadership & learning diagnostics, arts education, cultural sensitivity, artistic development, entrepreneurship and monitoring & evaluation. This framework guides the year-long residency.
