Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Nacogdoches, Texas, is accepting submissions from sculptors for our second Sculpture For All Outdoor Competition and Exhibition. Up to ten works will be selected for a 22-month exhibition in the Arboretum, one of the largest Azalea gardens in the nation. A stipend of up to $1500 will be awarded to each of the artists chosen. Additional cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded.

Artists must be 18 years of age or older and reside in the United States. Work must be: Original and created in the last three years. Three-dimensional, suitable for outdoor installation and able to be structurally secured to a concrete pad, capable of withstanding adverse weather conditions, high traffic areas and safe for children. Suitable for family viewing. Works deemed unsafe, fragile, or otherwise unsuitable will not be considered.

Size Limitations: No work can exceed 15 feet in height or weigh more than 1,000 pounds, due to equipment limitations. If you would like to enter a larger piece and are able to provide your own equipment for installation, please contact John Handley, Ph.D., Director of SFA Art Galleries, for authorization prior to submission at handleyjt@sfasu.edu. Electronic submission is required. Submit your entry via online at https://www.callforentry.org/. A non-refundable submission fee of $15 allows each artist to submit up to three entries. The entry fee must be paid online via credit card at the time of submission. Each artist must submit a maximum of three digital photographs detailing alternate views for each entry. Images must be in jpeg format.

Submissions must Include: the title, size, and materials used;  An explanatory statement (approximately 100 words) for each sculpture submitted;  a short biography (100 words or less in paragraph form, i.e. not a resume); your website URL (if applicable); and your contact information (email address, mailing address, and telephone number).

Dates: Entries must be submitted by midnight, January 11, 2015. Sculpture installation: Mid-February 2015. Evening reception: TBA
