The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA) is pleased to announce the nine artists selected for the 2015 Rubys Artist Project Grants in literary and visual arts. Grants from $3,000 to $10,000 will be made to support artists that reflect a diversity of talent and creativity for projects including poetry, photography, fiction writing, screenwriting, quilting, and collaborative installation.

School 33 Art Center’s Open Studio Tour is an annual city-wide event that for over 25 years has brought together professional artists and the general public, giving collectors and art lovers the opportunity to visit the studios of visual artists.

On October 9, we’re kicking off School 33’s Annual Open Studio Tour with a celebration of artist-run galleries on the 500 block of W. Franklin Street in the Bromo Arts District! Over the past few years, this block has quickly transformed into a hub for artist-run spaces producing exhibitions with diverse, engaging works of contemporary art by artists based in Baltimore, nationally and internationally.
