a new exhibition of 20 rarely shown objects, many from the BMA’s collection.
“Arctic Artistry” opens on July 17, 2022 and will remain on view through
January 8, 2023.

Blackout 2022 Comedy & Music Festival


Iconiq Entertainment present this live music and comedy festival on Sunday,

Book Signing at The Ivy with Jude Lombardi & Book Karnjanakit

The National Building Museum’s “Spotlight on Design” Series

The Spotlight on Design series is the National Building Museum’s longest
running public program. It provides a unique opportunity to engage with the
world’s premier voices in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture,
urban planning, art, and design. This event on Monday, July 25 from 6:30–
8:00 p.m. focuses on the recently completed Frederick Douglass Memorial
Bridge in Washington, D.C.
 
Although it takes place in person a little way outside of town, it will also be live streamed via Zoom Webinar.

Tina the squid is miserable in her life as a sea creature who is forced to wear a human suit by her neurotic husband, Tim. After revealing her squiddy self to BFF Teensy, the two hatch a plot to get Tina the heck outta Squidsbury. Directed by Tessara Morgan, “Squidsbury” runs from July 15–31, 2022.

Bedlam Brass Album Release Party at the Crown


The long-awaited and much-anticipated album by Bedlam Brass is finally
ready for you to hear and they’re celebrating some incredible friends:
Chiffon, Eze Jackson, and Kevin Sherry. (Folks who attended BOPA’s Summer
of Soul B-Side will recognize Eze as the host with the most.) The album
