The Roanoke Arts Commission (RAC) is seeking up to ten artists to exhibit in the third AIR: (Art in Roanoke), a temporary sculpture exhibition running May 16, 2015 through November 15, 2016 in the newly renovated Elmwood Park in the heart of the city. The RAC is accepting submissions now through February 6, 2015 The application and instructions along with photos and drawings of the site can be viewed at roanokeva.gov/artsandculture under “current calls to artists”.
There is no entry fee. Artists chosen to participate will receive a stipend of up to $4,500 per selected artwork. In addition one artist will receive a $1,000 Best in Show Award. Voting will take place the weekend of Festival in the Park, one of the major festivals held in the park on Memorial Day weekend May 22 to 24, 2015.
