The Broward Cultural Council Public Art and Design Program is seeking to commission a professional artist or team of artists to create a suspended artwork for the high volume ceiling spaces in the Concourse area of Terminal 2.
The selected artist or team of artists must design, fabricate and install an original and innovative suspended artwork that is functionally-integrated. The artwork, which will be installed in the high volume ceiling spaces above the main circulation areas of the concourse, shall provide a beautiful, welcoming experience for airport visitors. In addition to enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the space, the functionally-integrated artwork shall serve as a lighting feature or as a way finding device. The artwork must be constructed of durable materials that are easy to clean and maintain.
The total budget established for the project is $430,000.
