LIGHT CITY NOW SEEKING ARTISTS AND NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERS FOR 2018

BGE LIGHT ART WALK CALL FOR ENTRY

Artists and artist collaborative groups are encouraged to apply to have an installation featured in the 2018 BGE Light Art Walk during the third annual Light City, Saturday April 14 through Saturday, April 21, 2018. Central to Light City along Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the BGE Light Art Walk features large-scale illuminated artworks including but not limited to installations, sculptures, projections, interactive technologies, performance-based works and more. For 2018, 20-30 installations are being sought to receive funding between $5,000 and $75,000.

NEIGHBORHOOD LIGHTS COMMUNITY EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts seeks neighborhood partners for Neighborhood Lights, the immersive public artist-in-residency program that spreads the magic of Light City into neighborhoods throughout Baltimore City. Selected neighborhoods will work directly with an artist-in-residence to create an illuminated public project within their neighborhood as a kick off to Light City Friday, April 6 through Sunday, April 8, 2018 (Projects may be on view for longer). All projects will be fully funded by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts up to $15,000.

Attend a Light City Info Session! Info session are designed to give interested artists and community members a better understanding of how to submit a proposal for Light City. Information sessions will be held on the following dates:
