Eligibility

  • Projects must be collaborative i.e., present the creative contributions of more than one author or artist.
  • Projects must be rooted in or strongly related to visual art. Performance or media-based projects are only eligible if visual art is a core component.
  • Lead organizer must be a resident of Baltimore City or Baltimore County. The lead organizer is the primary contact during the application and granting process.
  • The majority of collaborators must be residents of Baltimore City or Baltimore County.
  • Lead organizer cannot be a student during time of application. Students may be listed as collaborators on projects.
  • Applicants may be a lead organizer on only one application but may be listed as a collaborator on multiple applications.
  • Resulting project activities must be accessible to Baltimore’s public and be presented in Baltimore City or Baltimore County.
  • Applications from 501c3 non-profit organizations will NOT be considered.
  • LLC’s are eligible if their primary purpose is not commercial and they are not a for-profit enterprise.

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture (ARTS), in partnership with Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create a site integrated or site specific artwork that is reflective of Coast Salish historic and cultural connections to the Salmon Bay and Shilshole areas for SPU’s Ship Canal Water Quality Project (SCWQP) Pump Station. The new pump station will be located at 24th Ave NW and Shilshole Ave NW in the Ballard neighborhood along the shoreline of Salmon Bay.

The call is open to established professional artists residing in the United States and the Canadian Province of British Columbia. Students are not eligible to apply.

Attention Campers! Artscape, America’s largest free arts festival invites artists and vendors to apply for its 36th year, July 21-23, 2017. This year’s theme is “Camp Artscape: Adventure Awaits.” For many, one of the most exciting parts of summer is taking time to engage in new experiences. Whether at an away camp or a local summer program, it’s something to look forward to all year—truly a staple of the summer season. The same goes for Artscape; it’s just not summer without it! The theme allows all involved to step out of their comfort zone, learn something new, and experience the adventure that awaits in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts is accepting applications for Anchor Projects (Large-Scale Art Installations), Art Cars, Artist-Run Art Fair, Artists’ Market, Artists’ Market, Emerging Artist Program, Charles Street Trail, MICA’s Pinkard Gallery Visual Art Exhibition, Food Vendors, Fred Lazarus IV Artscape Prize (“The Fred”), Gamescape, In the Neighborhood, Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize, Kidscape, LOL@Artscape, Arts Organizations and Performing Arts(opera, theatre, dance, classical music, etc.). Applications are available at www.artscape.org/applicationsThe deadlines for submission and application fees vary. For its 40th Anniversary, the Alexandria Museum of Art will be installing its first permanent exhibition galleries in October, 2017. Because of this and the 30th year of the September Competition, the Alexandria Museum of Art has changed the dates for the September Competition exhibit.  In 2017, the exhibition will be on display from June 2nd through September 23rd, 2017.  In 2018 and following, the September Competition exhibition will be on display for four months, from July through October.
